Sunrisers Hyderabad's young fast bowler Umran Malik is constantly making headlines with his fast pace bowling. The 22-year-old bowler from Jammu and Kashmir had bowled at a speed of around 157 km/h against Delhi Capitals in the last match. He has been bowling consistently at over 150 this season and has been troubling the opposition batsmen. His performance is improving continuously and he has also taken five wickets in this season. Seeing the performance of Umran, now the demand to include him in the Indian team has also started rising.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh believes that Umran should be taken to Australia for the upcoming T20 World Cup and included in Team India. Harbhajan Singh said during a conversation with reporters, "Umran is my favorite bowler, I want to see him in the Indian team because he is a great bowler. Tell me one bowler who is bowling at more than 150 km/h and is not playing for the country.

Bhajji said, “I think it will be good and it will also motivate the youth from where he has come to take up the game. What he is doing in IPL is unbelievable."

Harbhajan said, "I don't know whether he will be selected or not, but if I was part of the selection committee, I would have included him. Umran Malik should bowl with Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 World Cup in Australia."

"Umran should not look at his age to be included in the Indian team, as he will grow as he plays," he said.

Umran Malik was fielded by the Hyderabad team in the last season. He was given a chance when T Natarajan was injured and that's when he impressed with his pace. He was then retained by SRH ahead of the mega auction with a whopping sum of Rs 4 crore. Umran has so far taken 15 wickets in 10 matches this season at an average of 22.
