Team India Head Coach / Big offer given to Rahul Dravid by BCCI, will he extend his contract as coach?

Team India Head Coach: BCCI has taken a big bet regarding the coach of Team India. Instead of investing in a new coach, it has made a big offer to Rahul Dravid to extend the contract. According to the report, BCCI had contacted Rahul Dravid last week regarding extending the contract. However, it is not yet known whether Dravid has accepted this offer or not. But, this step of the Indian Cricket Board is being considered as its master stroke and there is a special reason for it. Let us tell you that Dravid's previous contract as the head coach of Team India had ended with the World Cup 2023.

Now the question is what is the reason due to which BCCI is willing to keep Dravid as the coach. So the answer is to maintain continuity in the structure on which it has been working continuously for the last two years. Since Rahul Dravid has played an important role in it, the Indian Board does not want his departure to create any hindrance in it.

If Rahul Dravid accepts the offer, this will be his first task.

At present there is no information about Rahul Dravid accepting BCCI's offer. But if he takes this offer, then his work in the second coaching stint will start from India's tour of South Africa. India's tour of South Africa is starting from 10th December. India has to play 3 T20 Internationals and the same number of ODI matches on this tour. Apart from this, 2 Tests will also be played on this tour, one in Centurion from 26th December and the other in Cape Town from 3rd January.

After the South Africa tour, Rahul Dravid will prepare to welcome England at home, who have to come to India for a series of 5 T20 matches before the T20 World Cup to be held in June next year.
