Rajasthan Election: Out of the four big states in the country – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana – where assembly elections are to be held this year, BJP has the most hope from Rajasthan. BJP is assuming that if everything goes well then BJP government can be formed in Rajasthan. However, internal bickering and factionalism still remain a major problem for the party.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an effort to give the message of unity to all the leaders by making all the big leaders sit on the stage in the Ajmer rally. But at the moment there is little chance of its ending. Ashok Gehlot vs Sachin Pilot fight in Congress had come to the fore long back, but in reality BJP is also divided into many factions.

It is necessary to deal with claimants and gossip

There are many contenders for the post of Chief Minister in BJP and all have their own factions. On one side is former CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, who has expressed her claim on several occasions. Although it is believed that Vasundhara Raje Scindia has become weak due to leaving with many close leaders like Rajendra Rathore. Rajendra Rathore himself is now emerging as a contender for the post of CM.

Every now and then the discussion starts about many other names including Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal and Satish Poonia. MP CP Joshi, who took over as state president after Satish Punia, is also rising in the eyes of the high command. CP Joshi is continuously trying to strengthen his hold on the organization and in the state.

What is the option with BJP?

In such a situation, the dilemma before the BJP is whether to contest the election keeping the face of the CM's post in front or go for the election without the CM's candidate. According to sources, a general opinion is emerging in the party that if elections are fought under collective leadership, then all the contenders for the post of CM will work hard to make maximum number of candidates win and the party will benefit from it. While announcing the CM candidate will increase factionalism further.

Hanuman Beniwal also challenges in front of BJP

BJP's assessment regarding Hanuman Beniwal is that his party RLP has influence on maximum ten assembly seats, where it is in a position to harm both BJP and Congress. However, if Hanuman Beniwal forms a front by taking the Aam Aadmi Party and Sachin Pilot together, then he can definitely become a big challenge in front of the BJP, whose cut will have to be found by the BJP in time.
