Alliance Advertising, based in Delhi, has acquired the broadcasting rights for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for the UK region for three years.   Sri Lanka will host nine series during the contract period, including some tours from India and Pakistan, starting with an ongoing India tour.

South Africa and Australia are the other top teams touring the nation for one series each during the contract period.   "We are committed to growing cricket not just in India but abroad," said Arshad Shawl, founder and director of Alliance Advertising.

"With that belief, we continue to harness the power of cricket and I am confident that this deal will not only accelerate viewership but also generate new revenue through subscription advertising in the UK market."   Alliance Advertising is an independent communications agency specializing in media, sports, digital, creative and events.

The company is also one of the leading sports marketing agencies, using Jersey franchises for the Indian Premier League (IPL NSE 2.03%) and field rights for various sports.
