Major Accident | A major accident happened in Rampur on Sunday. The car going from Delhi to Nainital fell into a deep drain near Pahari Gate on Nainital Road, killing four people in the car on the spot. Only four people are said to be in the car. After the accident, the police reached the spot, after several hours of effort, pulled out the car that fell in the drain and then somehow pulled out the people trapped in the car. By the time they were pulled out, all the four occupants of the car had died. Police have taken the bodies in possession and sent them for post-mortem. Also, the families of the deceased have been informed.

The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday on Nainital road, some distance from the hill gate of Ganj police station area. The car going from Delhi to Nainital suddenly entered the drain on the roadside, due to which the people in the car also fell into the drain. Hearing the sound of the car falling, the people sleeping in the nearby shops woke up and then informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and started rescue operation. The police pulled out the car that fell in the drain with the help of a crane and then somehow pulled out the people who fell in the drain.

By the time the police pulled the four out, all four had died. When the police searched these people, they could be identified. Later, the police took the bodies in their possession and sent them for post-mortem. According to the police, among the dead are Manoj Jain, a resident of Rajgarh in Delhi, Rajendra Singh, a resident of Gokulpuri, Sonu Singh and Deepak Kumar, a resident of Gautampuri, Seelampur, Delhi. Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Sansar Singh said that the families of the four deceased have been informed. The relatives have told the police that all these four people were going from Delhi to Nainital.
