Maharashtra / CCTV video shows bike crashing into car which took sudden U-turn in Mumbai

Mumbai: Two people died after their bike ran into a car taking U-turn on a flyover. The incident took place at 10:50 pm on Wednesday on a bridge in front of Phoenix Mall at Senapati Bapat Marg in Mumbai. The unidentified car driver has been booked for causing death due to negligence.

In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that a black colour four wheeler suddenly stopped on a flyover and took U-turn causing the accident. Two youngsters who were on the motorbike were taken to Nair Hospital for treatment. The doctors declared one of them dead before admission and the other during treatment.

The deceased were identified as Bhavesh Arun Sanghvi, resident of Ghatkopar and Bhavesh Arun Sanghvi, resident of Chembur. Both of them were 25-years old. After the autopsy, the bodies have been handed over to relatives for cremation.

Ashfaq Multani, another biker involved in the accident has suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the car fled towards Dadar. A search for the car is underway. A case has been registered against the car driver.

A case has been registered under Section 279, 337, 304A, Section 184, 134A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
