Uttar Pradesh | CM Yogi, who reached Ayodhya on the occasion of Deepotsav, has made a big announcement. The free ration scheme started during the Corona period has been extended till Holi. This decision of CM Yogi is going to benefit 15 crore people of UP. Apart from wheat and rice, CM Yogi has decided to provide pulses, oil and salt under the free ration scheme. CM Yogi, who arrived in Ayodhya just a day before Diwali, to participate in the Deepotsav celebrations, said that the PMJKY free ration scheme started during the Corona period has been extended till Holi. He said that about 15 crore people of the state would get the benefit of this scheme every month. At the same time, CM Yogi said, along with wheat and rice available in the free ration scheme, now pulses, oil and salt will also be distributed. People are happy with this announcement of CM Yogi on Diwali.

Let us tell you that 122 lakh metric tonnes of food grains were distributed in the ration distribution started during the Corona period. 2339556.740 metric tonnes and 9853889.085 metric tonnes of ration have been distributed in PMGKAY by the UP government. There are about 33705755 ration card holders in the state. The state government has done the work of providing ration to every poor and destitute people through 80 thousand kotdars. Ration distribution was done in four phases under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. In this, 2085003 metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to 140603565 beneficiaries in the first phase from April to June 2020. Similarly, 3536373.863 metric tonnes of wheat and rice were distributed in the second phase from July to November 2020. In the third phase, May and June 2021, 1413984.816 metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to more than 14 crore beneficiaries. From July to October, till now 96 percent of the beneficiaries have been provided free ration by the government. In four months, 2818527.091 metric tonnes of food grains were delivered to the people by the government.

31 years ago, bullets were fired at Ram Bhakts and Kar Sevaks

During the Deepotsav program, CM Yogi targeted the previous governments. He said that 31 years ago in Ayodhya, Ram Bhakts and Kar Sevaks were fired upon. It was considered a crime to chant Jai Shri Ram and raise voice in support of Ram temple. He said that next time when Kar Seva will be held, the devotees of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna will be showered with flowers and not bullets. Regarding the construction of Ram temple, CM Yogi said that by 2023, the construction of the temple will be completed.
