Karnataka Assembly Election: Congress has released its second list of 42 more candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections. Let us inform that only yesterday the Central Election Committee, (CEC) of the Congress brainstormed the names of the possible candidates for the Karnataka assembly elections and released the second list today. The Congress had released the first list of 124 candidates for the Karnataka elections recently.

Yesterday, party general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala had said after the CEC meeting, "A consensus has been reached on the names of candidates for many seats. The list will be released tomorrow." The CEC meeting was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Rahul Gandhi and several other senior party leaders. Significantly, voting will be held for all 224 assembly seats in Karnataka on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.
