The Haryana and Punjab High Courts have taken strict action against the couple who argued for a dispute by taking seven rounds by lighting a pot on fire in a hotel room. The court, while refusing to treat the marriage for seven rounds by lighting a fire in a hotel room, imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the couple, saying it was not a valid marriage ceremony.

The age of the married woman is 20 years while the age of the boy is 19 years 5 months. Both are residents of Panchkula, Haryana. Both of them had this marriage on 26 September against their family. After marrying against the family, he started feeling threatened, in such a situation, he had reached the High Court demanding his own safety and freedom.

The couple reaching the High Court does not have any such evidence regarding the marriage which they can present in the court as evidence. Neither is there any certificate nor is there any photo during the wedding. The couple argued before the High Court that they had taken seven rounds by lighting a pot in the hotel room and garlanded each other. No mantra was recited there.

After hearing the arguments of the couples, the High Court has observed that the age of the boy is not valid for marriage. Both are trying to mislead the court with their words. After which the court imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the petitioners.
