IPL 2021 | Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has suffered another major setback. Daniel Symes has been found positive in the Corona test today. Earlier, RCB opener Devadatta Padikkal has also been found to be Corona positive. Symes currently has no symptoms of Covid-19 and has been sent into isolation. The 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is to begin from 9 April and the first match is to be played between the defending champions Mumbai Indians and RCB.

RCB informed via Twitter that when Daniel Symes arrived at the team hotel in Chennai on April 3, his corona test was negative. His second test report came on 7 April, in which he has been found to be Corona positive.

This is a big setback for RCB as the Syms will no longer be able to play in the opening matches. Daniel Samms has played four T20 Internationals for Australia, while earlier he has played three IPL matches for Delhi Capitals. This year he was released by Delhi Capitals, after which RCB bought him in the auction.
