PM Narendra Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. After laying the foundation stone of the new international cricket stadium to be built in Rajatalab, PM Modi, while addressing the Nari Shakti Vandan Abhinandan program at Sampurnanand University, mentioned many other schemes along with women's reservation. PM said, more than 2 lakh 30 thousand women in Banaras have got the benefit of Ujjwala scheme. A subsidy of Rs 400 is also being given on every cylinder from the government.

The PM said, there has been very little practice of buying property in the name of women in our country, but the Modi government has started many schemes in the name of women. Today, our daughters are doing wonders everywhere, from the playground to flying Rafale. Our Banaras is a witness to the speed at which development takes place when women get equal opportunities. For me, the power of mothers and sisters is the biggest protective shield.

The Prime Minister further said that thousands of women in Banaras got the benefit of Mudra Yojana. Industries have got new strength with the support of Mudra Yojana. Those small industries which were on the verge of closure, today their products are going to the country and the world. Tourism provides employment in Banaras, participation of women in it is increasing a lot. I want that we should also bring women forward for roles like tourist guides. So that the tourists coming to Banaras from outside can have information about everything and it can also be easy for women tourists.

PM Modi told how the power of Nari Shakti Vandan Act will increase

He said, the strength of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act will increase when women will get opportunities to progress at every level of the society. Some people have a problem with the word 'vandan', but what will we do if we do not salute our mothers and sisters? Some people do not know the meaning of vandan. I believe that with the blessings of our mothers and sisters, the country will continue to move ahead in the Amritkal and will continue to take big decisions.

‘I have come to Kashi first after the law was passed’

PM Modi said that the glory of mother power is attached to the every corner of Banaras. The city of Kashi has also been a witness to the virtuous deeds of Goddess Ahilyabai Holkar. Therefore, after the historic law like Nari Shakti Vandan Act was passed in the Parliament, first of all I have come to Kashi to seek blessings of all of you. This law will open new avenues of women's development for the country, the presence of women in the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assembly will increase.
