The Eknath Shinde government has proved its majority in the floor test. The majority figure in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was 145, that is, the Shinde government needed the support of 145 MLAs, but they got the support of more MLAs than this. Eknath Shinde has got 164 votes in his favor. Now the votes will be counted against the trust vote from the bench of the opposition.

164 votes have been cast in support of the government. There are currently 287 MLAs and 144 votes were needed to form the government.

During the voting, 5 MLAs including Ashok Chavan of Congress remained missing from the house. At the same time, on the instructions of the Speaker, the counting of MLAs was done in the House. During the voting, Sanjay Bangar, a close aide of Uddhav, cast his vote in support of Shinde. In voting, Shyam Sundar, a close aide of Sharad Pawar and Shekpa MLA, has also voted in support of the Shinde government.
