PM Modi US Visit / Euphoria ahead of PM Modi's US visit, Indian-American community takes out unity rally in Washington

PM Modi US Visit: There are only a few days left in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to America, but there is a lot of enthusiasm among people of Indian origin about this visit. Preparations for the yatra are also going on in full swing there. Meanwhile, before the Prime Minister's arrival in America, people of the Indian-American community took out a unity march in Washington on Sunday to warmly welcome PM Modi.

In the video posted by the news agency, it is seen that people of the Indian-American community raised slogans of 'Modi Modi', 'Vande Mataram' and 'Vande America' during the march. People participating in the march were even seen dancing to the tune of the song 'Har Har Modi'. Not only Washington but unity march was organized in 20 big cities across America.

'Great moment for us'

Ramesh Anam Reddy of the Indian-American community who himself joined the unity said, “We are all Indian expatriates living here in Washington DC, Maryland and surrounding cities, we all gathered here to celebrate 'Unity Day' Has happened. PM Modi is going to meet US President Joe Biden soon. So, it is like a big event and a great moment for all of us."

He also said, “We wanted to celebrate and also wanted to tell how the relationship between India and America is progressing and how they are helping each other. I think this difference is coming because of India. A lot of people are coming here and they want mainstream American people to join in as well. They want to join the unity march. That's why we have come here."

PM Modi's visit will start from June 21

Another Indian-American, Raj Bhansali, said that he himself joined the Ekta March to "support PM Modi". He further said that it feels great to connect with the Indian community. It is a moment of great pride for all of us that PM Narendra Modi is going to America.

On the invitation of US President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, PM Narendra Modi will be visiting America from Wednesday, June 21 to June 24. PM Modi will attend Biden's state dinner on Thursday, June 22, as well as address a joint session of Congress. The next day on June 23, PM Modi will deliver a speech at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC.
