A fire broke out in the eight-storey building of SN Medical College (Sarojini Naidu Medical College). The attendants started running out of the ward taking the patients in their lap. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade also reached the spot. Rescue work has been started. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in this accident. At the same time, after getting information about this incident, the District Magistrate and Agra SSP also reached the spot.

This incident is from the new building of SN Medical College. There was chaos this afternoon when the people present there saw smoke rising from the eight-storey building, they were blown away. The attendants and staff started taking out the patients. When the stretcher was not found, the patients were lifted in their lap and came out of the building towards a safe place.

This said the District Magistrate

District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh said that due to the fire in the material kept in the basement of the surgical block, the smoke had gone through the duct to the upper floor. Adopting timely vigilance, the CFO reached the spot immediately and brought the fire under control. Now the situation is normal. There is no report of any casualties. The District Magistrate said that the matter would be seriously investigated.

There was a fire in the garbage in the basement

When the team of fire brigade who came to the spot searched, the fire was found in the garbage in the basement, which has been extinguished. Patients are being shifted from the eight-storey building to the MCH, in which Kovid Hospital was built earlier. Patients are being taken by ambulance. At present, police and administration officials are present in SN Medical College.

About 200 patients were admitted on the eighth floor

Prashant Gupta, principal of SN Medical College, says that a total of 200 patients were admitted in the eighth floor, out of which 35 to 40 patients were serious. There is no casualty. Patients are being shifted to NCS building. He will be brought again to the eight-storey building at around 5:00 pm. The belongings of the attendants are still left in the building.
