Mumbai: Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's son Akash Ambani and his wife Shloka Mehta have welcomed their first child in Mumbai. Shloka gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday (December 10).  Both the mother and newborn child are doing fine. Nita and Mukesh are quite excited to welcome a little bundle of joy into their lives, a family spokesperson said in a statement.

A photo of Mukesh Ambani posing with his grandson is going viral on social media. The business magnate can be seen smiling while carrying the little munchkin in his arms. Parimal Nathwani, Director-Corporate Affairs, RIL, took to Twitter to share the first photo of Akash and Shloka's son

"Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to have become grandparents for the first time, as they welcome the great-grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani. Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today (December 10) in Mumbai. Both mother and son are doing well. The new arrival has brought immense joy to the Mehta and Ambani families," the statement said.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta tied the knot on March 9, 2019 in Mumbai. Shloka Mehta, who is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta, got hitched in a grand ceremony, which took place at Jio World Centre. Several Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the marriage ceremony. Many reputed politicians from across the world also came to Mumbai to bless the couple on their special day.
