Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has apologized for his threatening remarks against a woman judge. This apology has been sought on behalf of Imran Khan at a time when the court has started considering the contempt proceedings against the former Prime Minister, taking a tough stand. Charges were to be framed against him on Thursday itself, but before that Imran apologized in front of the court.

According to the report of The Dawn, Imran Khan has promised to personally apologize to the woman judge Jeba Chaudhary. against whom he had allegedly threatened in his speech during a rally in August. Only seven courts adjourned the contempt case against Imran Khan after he apologized.

Imran said - it will not happen again

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief said in his plea, "If I have crossed any boundary then I apologize. It will not happen again. I never intended to hurt the sentiments of the court. According to the report, Khan also assured the court that he would never do such an act again.

Threatened during the rally

During a rally in Islamabad on 20 August, Imran Khan had threatened to register a case against top police officials, the Election Commission and political opponents for his misbehavior with his colleague Shahbaz Gill. Gill was arrested on charges of sedition.

The allegation was raised on the judge's decision

He had objected to Judge Jeba Chowdhury's decision in which he had accepted the police's request to send Gill to two days' custody and said he should be prepared as action would be taken against him too.
