New Delhi. Rishabh Pant was given the captaincy in the T20 series against South Africa after KL Rahul was injured. Rishabh's journey as captain was not easy and India lost the first two T20 matches against Africa. However, India returned to Pant's captaincy after winning the third and fourth T20 matches. During this, there was a lot of discussion from Pant's captaincy to his batting.

Rishabh Pant's batting did not show rhythm even after winning two T20 matches. Now former selector Madan Lal has given his reaction in strong words on this whole matter. Madad Lal said in the conversation, 'I would prevent him from becoming the captain, I do not allow this to happen because the responsibility is given to such players late. Being the captain of India is a big deal. He is young. Not going anywhere now. The longer he plays, the more maturity will come.

Work hard for 2 years

Madan Lal said that if Pant wants to claim the captaincy of the Indian team, then give himself at least 2 years. Bring maturity in yourself by working hard. After that he can be seen as a contender for captaincy. The former selector said, "If he can take his game to a different level in the next two years, then he can become a good captain, handle things with maturity." He (Pant) is a different kind of player. MS Dhoni was calm and settled, which benefited him under the captaincy. Kohli is a great batsman. I am not saying that he should not bat at all, but if he can play with a little maturity then it will be much better.

Rishabh Pant's performance in the T20 series against South Africa was not good at all, neither the captaincy was good nor the batting was good. Due to which India lost the first and second match.
