UP: Through social media platform Instagram, a Mumbai-based girl, who is a friend of Mumbai, escaped from a Lucknow girl, after which the police arrested the accused and the victim, who were going to Maharashtra with the help of surveillance, from Itarsi railway station.
According to the information, the victim girl living in Thana Chowk area interacted with Tabassum, a resident of Mumbai, on Instagram. Both were talking for the last 3 months through Instagram and WhatsApp. The accused Tabassum Sheikh seduced the victim and took her away from her home with her. After this, the family members wrote the missing girl's report to the nearest police station.Police started investigating the girl by putting her on mobile surveillance. In a CCTV footage, the accused was seen going with the victim. During this information, a district police team was dispatched to Kanpur, where the police team came to know that the accused Tabassum was luring the victim girl from Gorakhpur Panvel Express towards Maharashtra.After this, the police followed a train by road by taking a private vehicle and after going to Itarsi railway station, the police arrested the accused woman.According to Police Commissioner DK Thakur, the girl was taking the victim to Maharashtra via Gorakhpur-Kanpur. The police is supported by our team and with the help of GRP and RPF at Itarsi station, the accused woman has been arrested and the victim has been recovered and handed over to the housemates.
