Ghaziabad Police Encounter: Main Accused Asad Killed, Victim's Mother Demands Bulldozer Action

Ghaziabad police have killed Asad, the prime suspect in the Surya Chauhan murder case, in an encounter. The victim's mother and neighbors are now demanding similar action against the remaining six accused and the demolition of their properties using bulldozers.

In a major breakthrough in the Surya Chauhan murder case that shook the Khoda area of Ghaziabad, the police have neutralized the prime accused, Asad, in a fierce encounter. Asad, who carried a reward of 50000 rupees on his head, was killed during a police operation. Following this development, the victim's mother, Saroj, and local residents have come forward to demand even stricter measures against the other individuals involved in the crime. Saroj expressed her grief and anger, stating that while one accused has been dealt with, justice will only be complete when all seven individuals who attacked her son face similar consequences.

Demands for Strict Justice and Bulldozer Action

The atmosphere in the Khoda region remains tense but supportive of the police action. Saroj, the mother of the deceased Surya Chauhan, gave a heart-wrenching statement following the news of Asad's death. She mentioned that seven people were involved in the brutal killing of her son, and so far, only one has been killed in an encounter. She expressed a desire to see the photograph of the deceased accused Asad to find some solace for her grieving heart. On top of that, she demanded that the remaining six accused should also be neutralized in encounters and that the government should use bulldozers to demolish their homes and seize their properties.

The victim's mother highlighted the personal loss she has suffered, noting that while the accused families might have many children, her home's light has been extinguished forever. She insisted that the families of the accused should also face the weight of the law. Neighbors have echoed these sentiments, while ankit, a neighbor of the victim, praised the police for the encounter but emphasized that the demand for justice includes the encounter of all seven participants, the seizure of their assets, and the total demolition of their residences.

Background of the Surya Chauhan Murder Case

The incident dates back to May 28 2026, the day of Bakrid, in the Navneet Vihar locality of Khoda. According to the case details, Asad and his associates launched a sudden and violent attack on Surya Chauhan using knives. Surya was repeatedly stabbed and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The brutal nature of the murder sparked widespread outrage in the community, while family members and various organizations held intense protests on the streets, demanding immediate police action and encounters for the perpetrators.

Following the murder, the police registered an FIR and named 5 individuals as suspects. Prior to this encounter, 3 of the accused had already been arrested and sent to jail. However, the main accused, Asad, had been evading arrest, leading the authorities to announce a reward of 50000 rupees for information leading to his capture.

Details of the Police Encounter

The encounter took place following specific intelligence gathered by the Ghaziabad Commissionerate. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dhaval Jaiswal provided details of the operation, stating that the police received information that Asad was planning to flee the city. He was reportedly heading towards the Vasundhara and Khoda areas to collect money from his associates before making his escape. Acting on this tip, the police team set up barriers and initiated a rigorous combing operation in the suspected zones.

During the checking process, Asad was spotted approaching on a motorcycle with an accomplice. When the police team surrounded them and ordered them to surrender, Asad chose to open fire directly at the officers. In the ensuing exchange of fire, Asad was fatally wounded, while his associate managed to flee the scene. The police are continuing their search for the remaining suspects to ensure that all those involved in the May 28 2026 incident are brought to justice as per the demands of the victim's family and the local community.
