Champions Trophy 2025: The Indian cricket team has made it to the final of the Champions Trophy and now it can capture the ICC trophy with one more win. Team India has performed brilliantly in this tournament, due to which other teams are also in awe of the Indian team. However, meanwhile there are three players of the team who have not got a chance to play a single match so far. If they do not play even in the final, then they will have to return home without taking the field.

IPL's most expensive player Rishabh Pant did not get a chance

Rishabh Pant's name is also included in the 15-member squad of the Indian team, but he has not been included in the playing XI so far. Pant is counted among the best wicketkeeper-batsmen in the world and proved to be the most expensive player in IPL 2024, where he was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs 27 crore. Despite this, captain Rohit Sharma has given preference to KL Rahul as wicketkeeper-batsman in the Champions Trophy, due to which Pant did not get a chance to play a single match. Now it will be interesting to see whether he will get a chance in the final or not.

The wait for Arshdeep Singh is still on

Only three fast bowlers got a place in the Indian team - Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana. After Jasprit Bumrah got injured, Harshit Rana was included in the team and he also got a chance to play. But Arshdeep Singh has not got a place in the playing eleven yet. Due to the excellent bowling of Shami and Harshit, it seems difficult to include Arshdeep in the final eleven. If he has to sit out in the final as well, he will remain on the bench throughout the tournament.

Washington Sundar is also sitting out

The Indian team had included five spinners in the team for this tournament. Among these, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakraborty, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja have got a chance to play, but Washington Sundar has not got any match so far. Given the great rhythm of the Indian spin attack, it seems difficult for Sundar to get a place in the final as well. If the conditions remain favorable, then perhaps he may get a chance, but right now its possibility seems very less.

Scope of change in the final?

Looking at the current combination of Team India, it is difficult to say that any major change will be seen in the final. The balance of the team is very strong and captain Rohit Sharma does not seem to be in the mood to change his winning combination. Still, it will be interesting to see whether any of Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh or Washington Sundar get a chance to play in the final match or not.
