Two-wheelers were seen floating in the water in the Spice Garden area of ​​Marathahalli. The road had to be closed due to water logging from Spice Garden to Whitefield. This is the first time that many posh areas have been flooded for the first time. Many residents here have sought help from Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Classroom filled with water, books and bags submerged

Schools were flooded in many parts of the city. Children's bags and books were seen floating in the water. Here children were seen trying to get water out of the classroom. School teachers and staff pulled out books and other items from the water.

The effect of heavy rain was also seen at the Bangalore airport. The main gate of the airport was also flooded. The BMC bus got stuck in the water on Whitefield Main Road, which was pulled by people with a rope. Many people tweeted and targeted Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. People said that now Bengaluru has become a city of European level. The areas here are starting to look like Venice. One user said that even after collecting so much revenue, the infrastructure of Bangalore is one of the worst infrastructure in the country.

Heavy rain expected to continue till September 9

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that rains are likely to continue in Karnataka till September 9. Heavy rain may occur in Bengaluru, 3 districts of Coastal Karnataka and one hilly region. A yellow alert has been issued for Kodagu, Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur districts between September 5 and 9. Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea.
