IND vs ENG: On the first day of the 5th Test between India and England, Team India has scored 338 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Rishabh Pant scored the most runs. He played a brilliant innings of 146 runs. Ravindra Jadeja is unbeaten on 83. Mohammed Shami is supporting him. At the same time, James Anderson took 3 wickets for England.

Batting first after losing the toss at one time, India lost 5 wickets at the score of 98 runs. From here, Pant and Jadeja put on a partnership of 222 runs for the sixth wicket. This is Team India's biggest partnership for this wicket against England.

Rishabh faced 111 balls in his innings and hit 19 fours and four sixes. He completed his century in 89 balls. This is the 5th Test century of his career. He has scored his third century against England in this format. At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja scored the 18th half century of his career.

Earlier India's top order batsmen failed. Opener Shubman Gill 17 and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 13 runs and gave wickets to James Anderson. Hanuma Vihari 20, Virat Kohli 11 and Shreyas Iyer got out after scoring 15 runs.

Kohli's flop show continues

Former India captain Virat Kohli's poor form continues. In the first innings of the fifth Test against England, only 11 runs came off 19 balls from Virat's bat. He was bowled by Matthew Potts. Virat wanted to release the ball going outside the off-stump, but the ball took the edge of the bat and hit the wicket. His fans are still waiting for Kohli's 71st century. He scored his last century on 23 November 2019.

Shreyas Iyer also could not do anything special in the match. He scored 15 runs in 11 balls and was caught by Sam Billings on Anderson's bouncing ball.

Vihari got out after scoring 20 runs.

Hanuma Vihari could not understand the ball coming in from Matthew Potts and was out LBW. Potts bowls a back off length ball which comes quickly to the inside. The ball hit the pad and the umpire raised a finger. Hanuma scored 20 runs in the match.

Pujara returned to the pavilion completely set

Cheteshwar Pujara, who came to open batting in place of Rohit Sharma, was dismissed by Anderson after playing 46 balls. Pujara wanted to hit the ball going outside the off-stump and was caught. Anderson sent both the openers to the pavilion. Anderson has dismissed Pujara five times in this series.

James Anderson dismissed Shubman Gill for the third time

England fast bowler James Anderson once again gave England an early breakthrough. He bowled a back off good length ball to Shubman Gill who was outside off-stump. Gill went to tamper with the ball and got out. This is the third time Anderson has made Gill his victim. With this wicket, James Anderson has made a unique record in his name.

The 39-year-old bowler has completed his 100 wickets against India in England. Shubman's bat made 17 runs in 24 balls. During this he hit 4 brilliant fours.
