According to media reports, Advocate Umapati has filed a complaint with the Registrar General of Karnataka High Court on Saturday in this matter. The complainant says that they found a video on WhatsApp where a man can be seen openly threatening Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi. During this, he is also referring to the alleged murder of a Jharkhand judge.

The complainant said, 'The speaker has also made similar threats to the Chief Justice of Karnataka that people know where he goes for a walk'. Another lawyer Sudha Katwa has also filed a complaint regarding the viral video. A three-member bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice Awasthi, Justice Krishna Dixit and Qazi M Zaibunnisa delivered the verdict in the hijab case.
