Mumbai. On Tuesday, 10,891 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Maharashtra and 295 people died. In the last 24 hours, 16,577 patients were cured. The health department of the state government told about this. The Health Department said in a release that with the new cases, the total number of infected has gone up to 58,52,891 and the death toll to 1,01,172. On Monday, 10,291 cases of infection were reported in the state and 154 people died. With 16,577 patients being discharged from the hospital, 55,80,925 people have been cured so far. Presently 1,67,927 patients are undergoing treatment in the state.According to the release, 2,11,042 samples were tested for Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,69,07,181 samples have been tested so far in the state. Out of 295 cases of death, 208 cases came in the last 48 hours and 87 in the last week. As part of the exercise of tallying old figures, the Health Department has added 407 cases of death. All these deaths happened last week. In this way 702 more dead were added on Tuesday.Mumbai had the highest number of 682 cases and seven people died. The total number of infected in Mumbai has gone up to 7,12,055 and the death toll to 15,006. Mumbai has the least number of deaths since March 28. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the total cases of infection in the metropolis increased to 7,13,002. 90 deaths occurred on May 1With the new cases, the death toll in Mumbai rose to 15,073. On March 28, 8 people died in Mumbai. According to BMC data, after 751 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, 15,701 patients are now undergoing treatment in Mumbai. The number of people recovering in Mumbai has increased to 6,80,009.On April 4 this year, Mumbai had the highest number of 11,163 cases. The city had reported 90 deaths on May 1, the highest in a single day during the second wave of the pandemic. During this 953 cases of infection came from Nashik section.The cases reported in Maharashtra on Tuesday are slightly more than the cases of the previous day. Maharashtra recorded the lowest number of 10,219 new cases of Kovid-19 and 154 deaths since March 9 this year on Monday.
