New Delhi: The tussle between Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu in Punjab has now reached the Congress high command. The Captain himself is in Delhi and will appear before the committee today. However, Punjab is not the only state where there is so much head-footing in the Congress. There have been about half a dozen such states where the Congress has remained entangled in its internal turmoil.

Recently, former Deputy CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot also came to Delhi and Karnataka Chief DK Shivakumar too. While Pilot is not ready to work with Ashok Gehlot, DK Shivakumar is also very angry with his colleague K Siddaramaiah's supporters. Unhappy over being sideline in the party's state unit, former Leader of Opposition from Kerala Ramesh Chennitala also met Rahul Gandhi last week. At the same time, Chief Minister and Chief Minister Hemant Soren of JMM, an important ally of Congress in Jharkhand, has also returned to Ranchi after not being able to meet the Gandhi family. In Assam also the newly elected MLA of Congress has joined BJP. It is also being speculated that many more MLAs may leave the Congress and join the BJP.

Punjab's discord is not resolved

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has made it clear to the party high command that he will not give any important post to the disgruntled Navjot Singh. Amarinder Singh has also made it clear in front of the three-member committee on Punjab that he will neither make Sidhu the deputy CM nor the state president. It is believed that the Gandhi family is in favor of Sidhu. However, the captain is also adamant on his point. The Captain will once again meet the three-member committee in Delhi today.

Rar continues in Rajasthan Congress since last year

The discord of Rajasthan Congress is in front of everyone since last year, when the party high command itself had to intervene and persuade Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot. The dispute between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Payal has deepened once again. Actually, CM Gehlot is not giving place to the MLAs of Pilot camp in the cabinet. Unhappy with this, the pilot has visited Delhi twice in the last 15 days. However, he is yet to meet the Gandhi family.

Internal strife continues in Kerala too

After the party's defeat in the election results in the state on May 2, the Congress called on state president A.K. Ramachandran was removed from the post. Apart from this, Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala was also removed. Chennithala camp leaders say that even though he was removed from the post, the farewell was not honorable. Chennithala has met Rahul Gandhi only last Friday. Apart from this, he also wrote a letter to Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi to express his displeasure.

stampede in assam

In Assam too, the party is facing the ire of its own people after its dismal performance in the assembly elections. In Assam, four-time Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi resigned from the party and joined the BJP. He had alleged that the Congress leadership was listening to the leaders sitting in Delhi instead of the grassroots leaders. There are also reports in which it is being claimed that apart from Rupjyoti, many more Congress MLAs may join BJP.

Trouble is increasing in Jharkhand too

All is not well in Jharkhand even in the alliance of Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). JMM leader and Chief Minister Hemant Soren has returned to Ranchi after staying in Delhi for five days. On one hand, Congress says that Soren had come to Delhi on a personal visit, while Ranchi reports say that the party high command is unhappy with Soren for ignoring Congress in taking important decisions in the state.

Hardik Patel is angry in Gujarat

Several reports have claimed that Patidar leader Hardik Patel is upset with the Congress and may join hands with another party. Although Hardik himself dismissed the speculation of joining the Aam Aadmi Party, senior party leaders are becoming a challenge for Hardik Patel. With almost two years left for the Gujarat assembly elections, there is a lack of Congress leadership here. After the death of Rajiv Satav, there is no in-charge here and the post of state president is also vacant.
