England's batting flopped badly

Phil Salt (23), Ben Duckett (34), Tom Banton (38), Joe Root (24), and Harry Brook (19) got a good start, but they could not convert it into a big innings. Captain Jos Buttler was out after scoring just 6 runs, while Liam Livingstone scored only 9 runs in 23 balls. England's weak batting was also the reason for their defeat in the T20 series, where they had to face a 1-4 defeat.

Team India's historic win

The Indian team achieved the biggest ODI win against England in the last 11 years. This is India's second biggest win against England in terms of runs. In 2008, India defeated England by 158 runs in the Rajkot ODI, while this time India won by 142 runs in Ahmedabad.

Rohit Sharma created a new record

This was the fourth bilateral series clean sweep win for Indian captain Rohit Sharma. He left behind former captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli, who had achieved this feat three times each.
