IND vs NZ: The match about which every fan of the Indian cricket team was worried, finally that match also passed without any loss. In Dharamshala, Team India defeated its toughest rival New Zealand by 4 wickets in the World Cup. After failure in many ICC events, Team India finally overcame this obstacle in this World Cup. Team India has been continuously progressing strongly under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and has won all its matches so far with complete dominance. However, in the victory against New Zealand, a weakness of Team India has come to light, which needs to be resolved.

In its previous matches, Team India had defeated two strong teams like Australia and Pakistan. At the same time, it was able to overcome teams that had the ability to surprise in the form of Afghanistan and Bangladesh. In these four matches, Team India entered with its full strength and balanced playing eleven. This could not happen in the match against New Zealand because star all-rounder Hardik Pandya could not play in this match due to injury and this was the weakness of Team India.

Will have to make a big sacrifice

In Dharamshala, Team India had to bring a regular batsman in the form of Suryakumar Yadav and a regular fast bowler in the form of Mohammed Shami to compensate for the lack of Hardik. The effect of this was that Team India entered the match with only 5 bowlers. At the same time, no batsman in the top order helps with the ball, which has been an ongoing problem for the last few years. This is the reason why the Indian team was seen on the back foot for a long time against New Zealand.

Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell attacked from New Zealand's side and India had no option as a sixth bowler. When there was a partnership of 159 runs between Ravindra and Mitchell and especially when Kuldeep Yadav was being beaten, the wrinkles on the face of captain Rohit Sharma were visible. It is a different matter that the bowlers made a good comeback in the last 10 overs and stopped New Zealand from reaching 300, which proved to be decisive in the end.

Despite this comeback, it is clear that Team India will have to field an extra bowler and for this, if sacrifice has to be made in batting then that too should be done. If such a situation arises again, an additional all-rounder should be included in the playing eleven.

Other teams also saw weakness

Well, not only this, New Zealand also showed the other teams a way to push India on the backfoot. This is an attack against one spinner. In the last four matches, the pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav had destroyed the opponents' batting in the middle overs. This time it did not happen and a particularly aggressive approach was adopted against Kuldeep.

Mitchell and Ravindra together hit 4 sixes on Kuldeep, out of which 3 came in two overs only. At one point Kuldeep had spent 48 runs in just 5 overs and his bag was empty. However, Kuldeep also made a strong comeback and took 2 wickets while giving only 25 runs in the next 5 overs. Still, despite this defeat, New Zealand showed a way to the other teams.
