IND vs AUS: Australia women's cricket team has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series by defeating the Indian women's team by 3 runs in the second match of the three-match ODI series played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, the Australian women's team batted first after winning the toss and scored 258 runs in 50 overs. In response, the Indian women's team came very close to winning the match but remained just three runs away from the target. Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham played an important role with the ball in Australia's victory in this match in which both the players together took 5 wickets.

Richa Ghosh's wicket became the turning point of the match

With the fall of Jemima's wicket, the Australian women's team got a chance to make a comeback in the match. While Richa was trying to take the team towards victory while moving towards her century, but when the Indian team got the fifth blow in the form of Richa Ghosh at the score of 218, it proved to be the turning point of the match. Richa was out after playing a brilliant inning of 96 runs in 117 balls. Whereas Deepti Sharma managed to score 24 runs while remaining unbeaten till the end but she could not save the team from a defeat of 3 runs.

Annabel and Wareham's bowling impressed

In this match, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham were brilliant with the ball for the Australian team. While Annabel took 3 wickets for 47 runs in her 9 overs, Georgia took 2 wickets for 39 runs in 7 overs. Apart from this, Ashley Gardner, Kim Greth and Alana King also took 1-1 wicket. Now the last match of this series between the two teams will be played on January 2.
