IND vs ENG: Yashasvi Jaiswal has created history. He has ruled Rajkot with his batting. Yashasvi has created a world record by converting the century scored on the third day into a double century on the fourth day. He played such an unmatched innings in the second innings of the third Test against England that many records were set on fire. Yashasvi scripted his double century facing 231 balls in Rajkot. During this, he hit 10 sixes and 14 fours. With this double century, he has also done the miracle of Virat Kohli.

This is the second double century of Yashasvi Jaiswal's Test career. Earlier, he had scored 209 runs in the second test of the same series. Meaning this is a double century from his bat in the second consecutive match. Yashasvi is the third Indian and 7th batsman in the world to do so in the history of Test cricket. Before him, the Indians who scored double centuries in back to back Test matches are Vinod Kambli (1993) and Virat Kohli (2017).

While joining the club of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kambli and Virat with a double century, he also broke many records. Through his double century in Rajkot, Yashasvi became the first batsman in the world to hit the maximum number of 22 sixes in a Test series. Meaning, the world record in this matter was in his name. Not only this, he also equaled the world record of most 12 sixes hit in a Test inning.

Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten after scoring 214 runs on 236 balls till Indian captain Rohit Sharma declared the second innings. His full innings included 12 sixes. With these 12 sixes, his number of sixes in international cricket has now crossed 50 in just 29 innings.

These 214 runs scored by Yashasvi Jaiswal in Rajkot is also the biggest score of his Test career. While playing this inning, Yashasvi along with Sarfaraz made a big partnership of 172 runs in 158 balls. Earlier, Yashasvi had also added 155 runs with Gill for the second wicket.
