A video of cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan's wedding has gone viral on social media. The duo got married on Monday in Goa and as per reports, only around 20 people attended the wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the video that went viral, the duo can be seen exchanging garlands as part of 'varmala' ceremony.

Cricket Desk: Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian right-arm fast bowler, on Monday, March 15, tied the knots with sports reporter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa. Going by reports, the wedding ceremony took place with only 20 people present and mobile phones weren’t allowed during the ceremony.

Prior to the marriage, there were loads of speculations, which have now been put to rest. Bumrah isn’t a part of India’s ongoing T20I series against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He played in the Test series but later asked for a leave due to ‘personal reasons’.

“Jasprit Bumrah made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the fourth Test owing to personal reasons,” the BCCI wrote.

After he entered the wedlock with Ganesan, the 27-year-old Ahmedabad-born pacer shared a couple of pictures from their wedding.

He captioned the pictures and wrote, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”

In the meantime, the video of Bumrah’s marriage with Ganesan has been doing the rounds on social media platforms.
