Jharkhand | On Saturday, a meeting of the MLAs of the Grand Alliance was held at the residence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren regarding the ongoing political crisis in Jharkhand. After the meeting, on Saturday, three buses were seen boarding and leaving for some unknown destination. After this, the Chief Minister and MLAs who reached Latratu Dam enjoyed boating. It is believed that CM Hemant Soren is going through difficulties at this time, but with this boat ride, he has given a message of his strength to the opposition.

A leader had told, “If need be, all the ruling MLAs will be sent to the same destination. All the MLAs have come with their belongings to attend the important meeting at the Chief Minister's residence.

Sources in Governor Ramesh Bais's office said the Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to send an order for Soren's disqualification as an MLA on Saturday.

The Election Commission on Thursday sent its opinion on a petition to Governor Bais. There was a demand to disqualify CM Soren as an MLA for violating election norms by extending a mining lease. In the case, the petitioner BJP had sought disqualification of Soren.

Meanwhile, CM Soren tweeted, 'Our opponents are unable to compete with us politically. They are misusing the constitutional institutions. But we are not worried. These are the people who have given us the chair. Do what you can, my work for my people can never stop.

The Congress has said that it will support Soren as the consensus candidate. Congress MLA Alamgir Alam said, 'Our alliance is strong. We will support Hemant Soren as Chief Minister.

CM Soren has not been barred from contesting elections. The BJP has called for fresh elections and asked the chief minister to resign "on moral grounds".

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey tweeted, "According to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) sources some MLAs reached Latur at 2 am. Most of the MLAs are hesitant to leave and are waiting for orders from senior JMM leader Basant Soren. There are some buses parked in Ranchi for the MLAs.

The ruling coalition has 49 MLAs in the 81-member assembly. The single largest party JMM has 30 MLAs, Congress 18 MLAs and Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has one MLA. The main opposition BJP has 26 MLAs. Minister Mithilesh Thakur had claimed that the ruling coalition has 50 MLAs (including the Speaker who can go up to 56). He said he learned "resort politics" from the BJP.
