Cricket | England limited overs captain Eoin Morgan has said that all-rounder Ben Stokes and wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler are not scheduled to play in the T20I series against Pakistan this month. Buttler has played only his first T20I in England this summer, scoring 68 not out against Sri Lanka. Since then he has not played five international matches. He has already been ruled out of the ODI series against Pakistan due to injury. At the same time, Stokes could not go on the tour of Sri Lanka due to a finger injury. He has been playing county cricket for the last two weeks.

According to 'ESPN Cricinfo', Morgan said, right now there is a good balance here and there is good planning for the T20 World Cup. Both of them are players from all formats, so they will probably play in the Ashes later. Trying to strike a balance in trying to build the best team can be difficult at times, but I think we have the right choices at the moment. We are happy with the way Ben Stokes is getting fit. Obviously he has his eyes on the Test team as well. We got players in this series who have not played in the T20 series. With limited opportunities, you want people to get as many chances as possible, but that is not necessarily the case in all series.
