A journalist’s body was recovered through neighbourhood police at a village in Bihar’s East Champaran district on Tuesday. The scribe, operating for a non-public information channel, had long gone missing on Sunday. 


Local police stated the body of Manish Kumar Singh was recovered from the pond at Mathlohiyar-Gadditola beneath neath Harsidhi police station of Areraj subdivision in East Champaran district on Tuesday after a few villagers noticed his footwear and informed the police. 


 When requested whether or not it changed into a case of homicide or something else, East Champaran Superintendent of Police Navin Chandra Jha advised The Hindu, “we are able to simplest inform you approximately this after the body’s autopsy report”. “The body is wrongly decomposed so we’re sending it to the Srikrishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur for post-mortem.  Manish’s bag, mike and Bluetooth gadgets have been recovered from Mr Amrendra Kumar’s residence.

 Manish’s father Sanjay Kumar Singh, who's related to a vernacular newspaper and is an RTI activist, had filed a police criticism of his son’s abduction on Sunday. 


“Land dispute and the exposes I’ve been making in my newspaper is probably motives for my son’s homicide,” Mr Singh advised neighbourhood media folks. Mr Singh is stated to be concerned in a land dispute together along with his household withinside the village.
