Mumbai The BCCI has announced Team India for the T20 against South Africa and the one-off Test against England. The 5-match T20 series is starting from June 9. KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain for the series. Other senior players have been rested. Hardik Pandya has got a place in the team for the first time after the T20 World Cup. Dinesh Karthik did an amazing job with the bat in IPL 2022. He is also returning to the team after a long time. The command of the Test team is with Rohit Sharma.

It was already believed that the youth would get a chance in the 5-match T20 series against South Africa. Umran Malik surprised everyone with his speed of 150 kmph in IPL. He has managed to make it to the team for the first time. Similarly, left arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh did wonders with the new and old ball. At the same time, Venkatesh Iyer has been given a chance even after his poor performance.

T20 series from June 9

The 5-match T20I series between India and South Africa will start from June 9. The first match is to be held in Delhi. The second match will be played in Cuttack on June 12, the third T20 in Visakhapatnam on June 14, the fourth T20 in Rajkot on June 17 and the fifth and final T20 in Bangalore on June 19.
