Filmfare Awards 2024 / Know who won which award at the 69th Filmfare Awards in Gujarat?

Filmfare Awards 2024: The 69th Filmfare Awards is being announced. 12th Fail has received the Best Screenplay Award. Whereas OMG-2 was given the Best Story Award. Ishita Moitra received the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Apart from this, Shilpa Rao has received the Best Female Playback Singer award for Pathan's song Besharam Rang. Bhupendra Babbal, who sang the song Arjan Valley from Animal, has received the award for Best Playback Singer Male. Director David Dhawan was given the Life Time Achievement Award for his contribution to cinema. This award ceremony is being held in Gift City of Gandhinagar (Gujarat).

Technical awards had already been announced. Shahrukh Khan's film Jawan has received the award in the Best Action category. Ganesh Acharya was given the Best Choreography award for the song 'What Jhumka' from Rocky and Rani's love story. In the category of technical awards, Sam Bahadur has received maximum three awards, while Animal has received two awards.

12th failed

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film 12th Fail was released on 27 October 2023. Vikrant Massey has played the lead role in the film. This film is based on writer Anurag Pathak's book '12th Fail'. Although this film of Vidhu Vinod Chopra is inspired by the real life of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma, it is the story of the youth of every village and small town of the country.

Animal

Made under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this film had a worldwide collection of Rs 850 crore. Ranbir Kapoor's never seen action avatar was seen in the film.

Jawan

Directed by South director Atlee, this film has been released on 7 September. Shahrukh, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara were in lead roles in this film. Whereas, Deepika had a cameo in the film. Apart from these, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya have also played important roles.

Farmers, health system, damage to the environment and growing capitalism have been targeted in the film. During the Corona period, issues like lack of oxygen, easy loans to big businessmen seemed to connect everyone in the country. Shahrukh Khan was seen in a double role in the film.

Pathan

Released on January 25, 2023, Pathan marked the spectacular comeback of Shahrukh Khan. The film collected more than Rs 500 crore in Hindi alone. However, there were some controversies regarding the film. Hindu organizations had lodged a strong objection regarding the film's song 'Besharam Rang'.

OMG-2

Releasing on 11 August 2023, this film is based on a serious subject like sex education. After watching the film you will be forced to think about a lot. Some things go on in our heart and mind, but we are not able to say all those things in front of the world. Akshay Kumar has become the messenger of Shiva. While Pankaj Tripathi is in the role of a devotee.

Rocky and Rani's love story

In the film, Ranveer Singh's character is Rocky Randhawa and Alia has played the character of Rani. The film had collected Rs 150 crore. The songs of the film were quite a hit. Karan Johar returned to direction after a long time through this film.
