Maharashtra Politics: The political struggle in Maharashtra is not taking its name to stop. Now Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has got another setback. Uddhav Thackeray's nephew Nihar Thackeray met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and extended his support. Nihar Thackeray is the son of late Bindumadhav Thackeray, the elder son of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray.

Nihar is a lawyer by profession

Let us inform that Nihar's father Bindumadhav Thackeray died in an accident in 1996. Nihar is a lawyer based in Mumbai. Nihar has stayed away from politics till now. But according to his LinkedIn profile, Nihar is a strategic legal advisor, he fights a variety of cases and gives legal opinion. He did a course in International Commercial Litigation from the London School of Economics (LSE). He holds an LLB degree from the Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai.

Connection with BJP

Apart from this, Nihar also has connections with BJP. In fact, Nihar's wife Ankita is the daughter of BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil. Apart from this, Nihar has a sister Neha Thackeray. It is believed that Nihar started his political career by joining the Shinde faction. A statement issued from the office of Chief Minister Shinde said that after this meeting, Nihar Thackeray will start his political journey under the leadership of the Chief Minister.

Shinde faction had revolted

It is worth mentioning that Shinde had revolted against the Shiv Sena leadership last month along with around 40 party MLAs. He took oath as the Chief Minister of the state on June 30 with the support of the BJP.
