Haryana / Lockdown extended till August 2, approval for conditional opening of restaurant-bar

Chandigarh: In order to prevent the increasing cases of corona infection, the Haryana government has extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till 5 am on August 2. Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan has issued orders in this regard to all the Deputy Commissioners and Haryana Director General of Police and directed them to follow the lockdown.


Approval for the conduct of recruitment exam

The order issued by Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan, in exercise of the powers under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005, said, "Pandemic Alert-Safe Haryana is extended from 5 am on 26 July to 5 am on 2 August." Accordingly, the conduct of entrance and recruitment examinations by various universities, institutes, government departments and recruitment agencies is approved in the state following the Kovid protocol.

Hotel-restaurants allowed to open conditionally

It said that restaurants located in malls in the state are allowed to open from 10 am to 11 pm with 50 percent capacity following social distancing and corona guidelines. While other restaurants can remain open from 8 am to 11 pm. This time rule will not apply to restaurants located in hotels. Home delivery from hotels, restaurants and fast food establishments is allowed till 11 pm. Meanwhile, the relaxation of the lockdown related to the opening of shops, malls, restaurants, religious places, corporate offices will continue as at present.
