Delhi-NCR is facing continuous heavy rainfall, disrupting normal life across the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for September 2, warning of more rain accompanied by strong winds. On Monday, Delhi witnessed widespread rainfall, and similar weather conditions are expected to continue today.
The Yamuna river’s water level has risen above the danger mark, prompting authorities to issue flood alerts in low-lying areas. The forecast suggests heavy rainfall for the next five days in Delhi as well as Noida. Rain has also brought down the temperature, with today’s maximum expected at 31°C and minimum at 22°C.
