Bollywood / ​Mahesh Babu Remembers His Debut Movie, Raja Kumarudu

News Helpline . Mumbai | Superstar Mahesh Babu just took to his social media and fondly remembers his first movie as lead Hero, Raja Kumarudu, as the film clocks 21 Years.

Released in 1999, the romantic comic caper was produced by C. Aswini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. It starred Mahesh Babu and Preity Zinta in the lead roles, Krishna made a guest appearance as the father of Mahesh Babu, with music composed by Mani Sharma.

As the film clocks 21 Years, Mahesh Babu wrote, “‪21 years and how...‪Thank you @Ragavendraraoba for making my first a super special one. The learning that came with the experience is something I'll always cherish. Extremely glad to have known and worked with you and our amazing team ‪#21YearsForRajakumarudu @realpz @vyjayanthimovies @joinprakashraj”

Raja Kumarudu was the first film of Mahesh Babu as hero, received positive reviews and was commercially successful. The film earned the state Nandi Award for Akkineni Award for Best Home-viewing Feature Film.

On the work front, Babu's next Telugu film was announced on his father's birthday. The film has been titled Sarkaru Vaari Paata and will mark his maiden collaboration with director Parasuram.

The film is being jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainments, and 14 Reels Plus.
