In Chhattisgarh's Raigad district, three people of a family who went to collect Mahua in the forest were crushed to death by unidentified people with stones. The dead included a 10-year-old girl, her father and grandmother.According to police, Duhni Bai (65) of Chalaha village in Raigad along with her sons Amrit Lal (30) and Natini Amrita (10) had gone to Dhawaidand forest three-four days ago to collect Mahua. All three were living in a hut under a Mahua tree. The people of the village saw the bodies of all three lying on the spot. After this the watchman of the village informed the police.Police reached the spot and sent the three bodies to the hospital for postmortem. Senior officials took stock of the spot. Police and sniffer dog team investigated the spot. The reason why the murder took place is not yet known. Raigad SP Abhishek Meena has directed to trace the accused and arrest them soon.
