Lucknow | Asking the caste of the food delivery boy in Lucknow's Ashiana, he refused to take food from him. On protesting, he first spit tobacco on his mouth, then ran and beat him. His bike was taken away. Somehow he escaped from there and ran. The victim informed the police control room. The police reached the spot and got the victim's bike. In this case, on Sunday, the police have registered a case against a dozen people under the SC-ST Act.

Vineet Kumar Rawat, who lives in Qila Mohammadi, works in food delivery. Late on Saturday night, he had gone from Sector-H with a delivery order in the name of Ajay Singh. According to Vineet, as soon as he arrived with the order, a person came out of the house. He asked the name of the delivery boy. As soon as the name was mentioned, he refused to take the order and said that he will not take food items from the hands of Dalits. On this Vineet asked him to cancel the order. Angered by this, the person spit tobacco on Vineet. On protesting, the accused person started abusing. Within no time many of his companions came with sticks and rods.

Vineet told that when he raised a noise to escape, a dozen people who came there surrounded him and beat him. He somehow managed to escape from there. He informed his colleagues and the police control room. On this the assailants snatched his bike and fled. The police, who reached there, got the stolen bike, as well as he was asked to give a complaint to the police station. In this case, FIR has been written against Ajay Singh, Abhay Singh and a dozen unknown attackers. Police say that Vineet has suffered injuries on his arms and legs.
