Meerut. A big accident has happened in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Five people have died in this accident due to the falling of the lenter of the cold storage under construction here. A total of seven people have been pulled out of the debris after the accident, out of which two people are alive. According to the information, at the time when this accident happened, at that time more than a dozen laborers were working there, who got buried in the debris. The sensation spread due to the sudden accident, after which the police administration is now engaged in the rescue operation.

Workers are being pulled out by removing debris from JCB. It is feared that the death toll of laborers may increase. The incident is of Janshakti cold storage of Daurala police station area of Meerut. This cold storage is said to be related to former BSP MLA Chandraveer. According to the people, construction work was going on in the cold storage, during which the lenter fell. More than a dozen laborers were working under the lenter. After the accident, there was hue and cry on the spot and the entire building collapsed.

The incident was informed to the local police. NDRF police and other rescue forces have been called on the spot. Efforts are being made to save lives by removing debris from JCB. At present the situation remains serious. Chief Minister Yogi has taken cognizance of the accident in the cold store in Meerut district. The CM has ordered for proper treatment of the injured in the accident and has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. On the instructions of the CM, teams of NDRF and SDRF have reached the spot.
