Cricket Desk: Team India speedster Mohammed Siraj and England's veteran bowler James Anderson were involved in an on-field banter on Day 3 of India vs England 1st Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The two sensational speedsters exchanged a few words in the 84th over of the second session when wicket-keeper Joe Root threw the ball to Anderson, hoping to end the frustrating last-wicket stand between Indian tailenders Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

In the 84th over, bowled by premier seamer James Anderson with the new ball, Siraj came up with a wild swing in the last delivery of this over after which the English paceman passed on a few words to Siraj. The Indian speedster didn't back away and gave it back to Anderson. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Things did not escalate much as both decided to walk away after exchanging a few words.

Tailenders Mohammed Siraj (7) and Jasprit Bumrah (28) stitched a crucial 33-run partnership for last wicket to push team India's lead to 95 before England's Ollie Robinson, who claimed a five-wicket haul, broke their partnership.

Team India scored 278 runs in their first innings after getting England out for just 183 runs in their first innings. In this way, India got a significant lead of 95 runs in first innings. Opener KL Rahul played the highest innings of 84 runs off 214 balls for India, which included 12 fours.

For England, Rory Burns (11*) and Dominic Sibley (9*) remained unbeaten on crease, in the third session, when play was halted due to rain. Only five overs could be bowled in the third session. Ravindra Jadeja again displayed his batting prowess, scoring 56 off 86 balls with the help of eight fours and a six. KL Rahul and Jadeja shared a crucial 60-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
