RCB vs GT: Table topper Gujarat wrap up their league stage run in Indian Premier League 2023 with a 6-wicket win. This victory has shattered Royal Challengers Bangalore's dream of making it to the playoffs. The victory of the defending champions was celebrated in Mumbai, as Mumbai qualified for the playoffs with Bengaluru's defeat. Gujarat won the toss and elected to bowl at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Batting first, Bengaluru scored 197 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Gujarat achieved the target of 198 runs for 4 wickets in 19.1 overs.

Two centuries in one match

In the last match of the league stage, Virat Kohli (101 not out off 61 balls) scored his second century of the season. In the counter-innings, Gujarat opener Shubman Gill scored a century and defeated Bengaluru at his home ground.

Gujarat opener Shubman Gill scored his fourth fifty of the season. He completed the half century in 29 balls. This is the 19th IPL Fifty of Gill's career.

Vijay-Gil's century partnership

After losing the first wicket for 25 runs, Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill handled Gujarat's innings. Both made a century partnership of 123 runs on 71 balls for the second wicket. This partnership was broken by Vijaykumar Vaishak by dismissing Vijay Shankar.

Virat also scored a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad four days ago. This is Virat's seventh IPL century and he has become the batsman with the most centuries in the history of this league. He left behind Chris Gayle of West Indies. Gayle has 6 centuries to his name.

Second: On the second ball of the 9th over, Rashid Khan bowled Glenn Maxwell.

Third: On the second ball of the 10th over, Saha stumped Mahipal Lomror on Noor Ahmed's ball.

Fourth: Michael Bracewell was caught and bowled by Mohammed Shami on the last ball of the 14th over.

Fifth: Saha stumped Dinesh Karthik on the second ball of the 15th over. Yash Dayal got this wicket.

67 partnership between Faf-Kohli

The openers got Bangalore off to a great start. The pair of captain Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli scored 67 runs off 43 balls. This partnership was broken by Noor Ahmed by dismissing du Plessis. Both have partnered 50+ for the 8th time in the season.
