Artemis 1 Launch: America's space agency NASA successfully launched its first mission to the Moon after nearly half a century. Although many problems were faced before the launch of the mission, but finally everything went well. NASA is sending Orion Spaceship to the moon through Artemis 1 mission. The Orion spacecraft will return after circling the Moon in 42 days. Just before the launch of the space mission, NASA detected a new leak while adding fuel to its 'New Moon Rocket'.

This mission is the next phase of Project Apollo

If the 3-week test flight is successful, the rocket will carry an empty crew capsule into a wide orbit around the Moon and then return the capsule to Earth over the Pacific in December. After years of delay and billions more in costs, the Space Launching System rocket lifted off from Kennedy Space Center. The Orion capsule was placed on top of the rocket, ready to leave Earth's orbit and head for the Moon in less than 2 hours of flight. This mission is the next phase of America's Project Apollo.

By 2025 common man will also go to the moon

Between 1969 and 1972, 12 astronauts walked on the Moon in Project Apollo. This launching is considered to be the beginning of NASA's Artemis mission. This name is named after the twin sister of Apollo according to mythological belief. NASA aims to send four of its astronauts around the Moon in the next flight in 2024, and then land people there in 2025. NASA wants to build a base on the Moon and send astronauts to Mars by the late 2030s and early 2040s. NASA has hired Elon Musk's SpaceX to develop Starships for the 21st century, similar to Apollo's lunar lander.

Launching had to be postponed 3 times

Explain that this was the agency's third attempt to send an empty 'capsule' to orbit the moon. However, within a few hours everything was fine and the mission was launched. Earlier in the summer, the launch had to be postponed twice due to leakage and later again due to the storm. NASA engineers have never explained what is the reason for the leakage of hydrogen fuel. However, he made changes to the fueling process to reduce leakage and expressed confidence that all systems of the 322 ft (98 m) tall rocket would function properly.

'Sent to pads to tighten valves'

NASA extended the refueling time by about an hour to reduce pressure on the fuel lines and keep the 'seal' strong. After this, this step seemed to be working, but by the end of the 6-hour process, intermittent hydrogen leakage started. In view of this, the launching team decided to send personnel to the 'pad' to tighten a valve as the countdown for the rocket's flight to the Moon had begun.

Apollo program was closed in 1972

Officials said the valve was part of the 'launch platform' and not the rocket. When the last leak was detected, the rocket had been filled with about one million gallons (3.7 million litres) of super-cold hydrogen and oxygen. The 'Space Launch System Rocket' SLS is the most powerful rocket ever made by NASA. Under this mission, astronauts will prepare for the next mission in 2024 and in 2025, 2 people will go to the moon. NASA last sent astronauts to the Moon in December 1972 and then the 'Apollo Program' (lunar mission) was called off.
