Bihar Elections 2025 / NDA government again... BJP's slogan in Bihar, 245 chariots ready for campaigning

The NDA has launched a new slogan for the Bihar Assembly elections: "Bihar has regained its development momentum... NDA government again." The BJP will officially launch it by September 30. 245 LED chariots are ready for the election campaign, which will travel from village to village to promote the government's achievements and promises.

Bihar Elections 2025: Political activity has intensified in Bihar regarding the assembly elections. All political parties are exerting all their efforts to strengthen their camp and woo voters. Meanwhile, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has unveiled a new slogan for its election campaign: "Bihar has gained the pace of development... NDA government again." According to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sources, this slogan will be officially launched by September 30, 2025. This slogan not only highlights the NDA's achievements but also clarifies the political strategy and intent behind it.

NDA's New Slogan and Strategy

The NDA alliance is preparing to contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections with this tagline. Some prominent BJP leaders, such as Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde, have begun promoting this slogan on their social media handles. However, a formal announcement is still pending.

BJP sources say the slogan aims to highlight the infrastructure developments in Bihar, such as roads, education, good governance, employment, and healthcare, that have taken place during the NDA regime. Through this slogan, the NDA is attempting to win the voters' trust and strongly present its development agenda.

Campaign with 245 High-Tech LED Chariots

To make the election campaign more effective, the NDA has prepared 245 high-tech LED Chariots. These Chariots will be flagged off by a senior Union Minister and sent to all assembly constituencies in Bihar by September 30th. These Chariots are equipped with modern technology and will travel from village to village, promoting the NDA government's achievements and recent promises.

Bihar BJP spokesperson Prabhakar Mishra said,

"Bihar has regained its momentum in development, which is why the NDA government is coming to power again. Through these Chariots, we will reach out to the people in every assembly constituency with the government's achievements and promises."

These chariots will promote popular promises such as 125 units of free electricity, doubling pension for the elderly and women, and increasing honorarium for Anganwadi workers through audio-visual content. Additionally, key schemes of the Bihar and central governments, such as the deposit of ₹10,000 into women's accounts, the transfer of ₹5,000 to 1.6 million workers, the promise of 1 crore jobs, a ₹1,000 allowance to all graduates, and an interest-free student credit card, will also be prominently displayed.

JDU's stance and Nitish Kumar's influence

While the BJP is preparing to use this new slogan and the Rath Yatra to make the NDA's development model its biggest weapon, the Janata Dal United (JDU) has not yet officially responded to the issue. Traditionally, the JDU has centered its election campaign around the name and achievements of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

This election, the NDA's campaign material includes images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar, but Nitish Kumar's name is not included in the slogan. This could signal a strategic shift. Previously, the JDU's slogan in the 2020 elections was "Why think, Nitish Kumar is fine," and in 2015, "Bihar mein bahar hai, Nitish Kumar hai." In April this year, after questions were raised about Nitish Kumar's continued tenure as Chief Minister, the JDU launched the slogan "25 se 30, Nitish again."

The Politics Behind the Slogan

This new slogan and campaign strategy of the NDA appears to be part of a well-thought-out strategy in Bihar politics. While the BJP is trying to woo voters by centering the issue of development, the omission of Nitish Kumar's name from the slogan also raises future political possibilities. Does this slogan and strategy convey a new message regarding the role of leadership within the alliance? Or is it merely an electoral experiment? The answer to this will be clear from JDU's reaction and election results in the coming days.
