Odisha Health Minister dies: Odisha's Health Minister Naba Kishore Das has passed away. He was shot by an assistant sub-inspector at Gandhi Chowk near Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda district at around 1 pm today. He was going to attend a program when he was shot in the chest. The police officer fired two rounds, in which the minister was seriously injured, who was taken to the hospital. Eyewitnesses said that he was later taken to Bhubaneswar where he died during treatment.

Police officer Gupteshwar Bhoi said that Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Gopal Das fired at the minister. The minister was injured and was taken to the hospital. Gopal Das was caught by the local people at the same time. The police is interrogating the accused Gopal in custody. Eyewitnesses claim that he was shot as soon as he got out of his vehicle. The motive behind the attack is still not clear.

Videos from the spot showed Das bleeding from his chest and people trying to lift the injured minister. He fainted as soon as he was shot, he was made to lie on the front seat of the car. Naba Das was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Public Grievance Office. When he arrived, a crowd gathered to welcome him. Suddenly a loud bang was heard. An eyewitness said, "We saw a policeman running away after firing from close range."

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condemned the attack and directed the Crime Branch to investigate it. He said, "I am shocked by the unfortunate incident of attack. I strongly condemn it and pray for his speedy recovery. Crime Branch has been directed to investigate. Senior officers of crime branch have been sent to the spot." Has been asked for."

After the attack on the minister and as soon as the news of his death came to light, tension prevailed in the town. Naba Das's supporters questioned the "security lapse". Some of them claimed that there was a conspiracy to target them.
