UP News: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of the state over the recent order of the Allahabad High Court on the issue of reservation in the appointment of 69,000 assistant teachers. The former Chief Minister termed this decision as the result of 'loose lobbying' of the Yogi government.

Significantly, on March 13, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court gave a shock to the Uttar Pradesh government, within three months after reviewing the list released in June 2020 for the appointment of 69 thousand teachers in the state under the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination (ATRE). Instructions were given to fix reservation in a proper way.

Akhilesh did many tweets

Akhilesh made several tweets on this matter on Wednesday and tried to corner the government. In a tweet, he has said, 'The decision on the recruitment of 69,000 assistant teachers is the result of loose lobbying by the BJP government, which is against the basic spirit of reservation. To kill the rights of Dalit-backward people, BJP traps reservation in legislative illusion. Caste census is the right solution to this problem so that reservation can be done in proportion to the population.

'Is this the 'Amrit Kaal of Freedom'?

In another tweet, the former chief minister said, "This is the sad story of ill-treatment meted out to Dalits and OBCs in the BJP government. Is this the 'Amritkal of freedom' where assistant teachers are wailing on the streets to protect their livelihood. Will India become Vishwaguru just like this? This time, 69,000 will bring change.

He has further written, 'Everyone will have to come forward to revive that democracy where there is no right to protest for their rights. Now Dalit-backward youths have understood both the thinking and conspiracy of BJP regarding reservation. BJP should remember that youth have the power to change the era.
