Jammu And Kashmir | Iltija Mufti, the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti, has raised the issue of Kashmir, raising the Pakistani rage for a permanent solution. Iltija Mufti on Sunday advocated talks with Pakistan and Hurriyat Conference for a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue. Iltija Mufti also suggested the opening of the borders of Jammu and Kashmir and the implementation of self-governance to make the region an economic hub and a gateway between Central Asia and India.

Advocating dialogue with Pakistan and Hurriyat Conference, he said, "People of Jammu and Kashmir are very politically aware. The Jammu and Kashmir issue needs to be resolved by taking all stakeholders together. He alleged that the central government wants the PDP and the National Conference to replace the Hurriyat. He also alleged that the Center wants to turn Jammu and Kashmir into a laboratory as they want an 'opposition-free India'.

Told PDP a human supporter

Mufti said the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was pro-human and wanted solutions to the problems of the people. “Jammu and Kashmir is a strategically important (state) and has many things in common with Central Asia. The government should seize the opportunity and facilitate self-governance, trade and movement of people while making borders irrelevant for economic integration.

SCO should have been done in Kashmir

Referring to the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on September 15 and 16, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the summit, should have organized it in Kashmir. "Open up (border) of Jammu and Kashmir and let it become an economic hub and gateway between Central Asia and India," Mufti said at a conference here.

Guppy struggle for the restoration of Article 370

He said the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), an alliance of five mainstream political parties including National Conference and PDP, is fighting for the restoration of Article 370 and this is important as people have pinned their hopes with it. "PAGD should be more proactive, more vigilant and work on unity in the real sense, bypassing the interests of the party," he said. Our special status and identity is under attack and we have to defend it.

This answer was given to the ventilator statement

Mufti did not agree that PAGD is on 'ventilator'. He said, 'Take out 10 lakh security personnel from Jammu and Kashmir, you will see who is on ventilator'. He also claimed that pressure tactics were being used to bow down his family. "When the PAGD meeting takes place, my mother or my maternal grandmother, 75, are getting summons. My grandmother is also being denied passport for the last two years.

Claims of removal of provisions baseless

He said that the claim of abrogation of most of the provisions of Article 370 for the benefit of the people is baseless. "They have no good intentions as they see Kashmir as a military, a law and order problem and a religious problem," he alleged. Since they look at the issue through religious prism, the solution they are trying to implement is to change the demographic base and make people economically vulnerable.'
