US will give vaccine to these countries including India

Here, US President Joe Biden has announced that America will give 7 million Kovid vaccine to many countries of Asia including India. Apart from India, the countries in Asia that will get the vaccines will also provide the vaccine to Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Papua New Guinea and Taiwan.

US-India talks continue for vaccine and raw materials

Earlier, India said that it is in touch with US vaccine manufacturers regarding the purchase of anti-Kovid-19 vaccines. It is also in dialogue with the US administration to ensure the supply of raw materials and other ingredients for the production of vaccines in the country.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi gave this information in a weekly press conference through digital medium. He was asked questions about the purchase of vaccines from American companies. On the question of export of vaccines, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that it would not be appropriate to talk about supply of vaccines abroad, at this time the focus is on domestic demand.

India in contact with these companies

He said that the Government of India is making all efforts to increase vaccine production, which includes increasing the production of vaccines domestically and ensuring supply from abroad. Bagchi said that we are in contact with American vaccine manufacturers like Moderna, Pfizer. We are also in touch with the US administration to ensure the supply of raw materials and other ingredients for the production of the vaccine in India.

Bagchi said the issue was raised by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during his recent visit to the US. "It is in our common interest to tackle the pandemic through rapid immunization," he said.
